All classes meet in the educational building!

Are you involved in adult Sunday school? At First Baptist Burnsville we have outstanding leadership in six different adult classes! If you have never tried Sunday school for whatever reason, this would be a good time to try one of our classes. All will welcome you with open arms for one visit or for extended study. Feel free to try them all to see what fits best for where you are in your Christian journey.

Ladies Class (Myrtle Peterson Class)
Doris Hunter, Joyce Thisse, co-teachers
Located downstairs first door on left when entering educational building (across from kitchen)

This class has traditionally been composed of senior adult women although we welcome anyone to join us. We study the Formations literature with open, lively discussions. Our class begins each Sunday with class business and a prayer list. We often have a class mission project, which presently is helping support the work of Robert Wyatt, who is helping provide food for hungry children over weekends. Come join us as we continue to grow in our Christian faith and actions.

Men's II Class (Dick Bailey Class) - Eddie Faw, teacher
Located upstairs first door on left when using steps near kitchen

The Men's II class is open to all ages of men. We study the Formations literature. Each Sunday we start with our background passages from the Bible and then go into a review of how the passages and lesson works with us in today's society. Our class each Sunday starts with a concern for the needs of our families both in our church and in our community. We even sing a few old time favorite hymns from time to time. Anyone of any age is welcome!

Ladies II Class -Janet Banks, teacher
Located downstairs third door on left when entering educational building

We have traditionally been a class for women of all ages. We study the Explore the Bible Series. These studies are designed to study the entire bible in 8 years. Each quarter the material alternates between the Old and New Testaments. Our focus is on Bible Study, discussion and application to 21st century life. Members are comfortable discussing and sharing truths they have gleaned from Bible study and life experiences.

Young Adult Class
Located downstairs in hallway between the sanctuary and educational buildings

The Young Adult Class is a Sunday school class that generally consists of persons from age 18 and up. It is team taught by Jeremiah Ayers, David Mauney, and Mike Orr, but always ends up with a lively discussion and everyone participating.

Baptist Today-Nurturing Faith is the literature that keeps a biblical focus on the lessons and guides the learning, but oh how we learn from each other. If you desire biblically based, heavily discussed, personally shared, and prayerfully considered learning, we have a chair for you. Come join us. You'll be glad you did.
